The Geneva Center for Security Policy (GCSP) and the China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR) held a virtual seminar on 9 February 2023. Topics covered included the conflict in Ukraine and its impact on European security, as well as current China-Europe and China-US relations in a changing geopolitical environment. The discussions, led by the Assistant-President of CICIR, Dr Zhang Jian, and the Director of GCSP, Ambassador Thomas Greminger, were held in a cordial and open atmosphere.

The GCSP continues its mission of holding discussions like these to share ideas, knowledge and experiences on important global developments, to improve understanding between security actors in different regions, and to generate creative approaches and policy options for addressing security challenges.
