GCSP contributes to a new guide to developing a national cybersecurity strategy
Led by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and with a team of 11 partner organisations, including the GCSP, a new Guide to Developing a National Cybersecurity Strategy was recently released.
The Guide provides a useful, flexible and user-friendly framework to assist policy-makers in the development of a strategy.
Representing intergovernmental and international organisations, the private sector, as well as academia and civil society, the other partners that contributed to the Guide include: the Commonwealth Secretariat (ComSec); the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation (CTO); Deloitte; the Global Cyber Security Capacity Centre (GCSCC) at the University of Oxford; Microsoft; the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre Of Excellence (NATO CCD COE); the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies; RAND Europe; the World Bank; and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
The Guide was introduced to participants during the GCSP’s course on Meeting the Cybersecurity Challenge presented by the GCSP’s Cybersecurity Cluster in early October 2018. The Guide is available to download on the ITU website.
