Ambassador Thomas Greminger received the STAB Award 2024

The Geneva Centre for Security Policy is pleased to announce that the STAB Foundation has honoured our Executive Director, H.E. Thomas Greminger as the recipient of their prestigious 2024 Annual Award for his extraordinary career contributions to Swiss foreign policy and his commitment to development, security, and peace in the world.

The ceremony featured a welcome address by STAB Foundation Board President Mr Martin Vollenwyder and laudatory oration by former Swiss State Secretary past President of the International Committee of the Red Cross - ICRC Dr Peter Maurer.

As recipient, Ambassador Greminger will have the privilege of awarding a financial grant to a young researcher and reflects: 
"I don't feel like I've reached the finish line yet. There is still much to overcome on the way to peace. But I will continue on this path in the coming years with renewed energy and great conviction thanks to the appreciation and support I experienced today. Thank you very much and let us continue to work together for peace and international cooperation!"

GCSP Staff & Friends J. William Tavelli, Alexandra Matas, Fred Turner, Christina Schori Liang, Annika Hilding Norberg, Nayef Al-Rodhan, Yannick Scheidegger, Hanna Scheuring joined in the ceremony held at Zurich's Careum Auditorium on October 26th where guests were delighted by a musical presentation of "The Sound of Silence" Tribute to Simon & Garfunkel direct from Theater Rigiblick.
