2020 is a special year as it marks the GCSP’s 25th Anniversary. We are honoured and excited that this special year also brings us to the region of West Africa. For many years we have been expanding our GCSP community activities with the aim of engaging with more and more community members. Our 25th Anniversary is an opportunity to look back on our achievements, but also to direct our gaze towards the future by developing new activities and projects that complement our alumni.

We consider our alumni to be key actors in the international relations arena who support peace and security around the globe. It is this alumni network that we wish to support by offering a new platform where alumni from West African countries can engage, exchange best practices and find common direction.

The mission of our Alumni Hubs is to foster a greater sense of union among GCSP alumni, who are living and serving in the same geographical areas.

• Our Hubs add professional value to the GCSP alumni community future our network’s collective intelligence together in an informal way.
• Our Hubs act as a gateway to our global activities, events, conferences and dialogues organised by the GCSP.
• Our Hubs represent a connected network that uncovers new avenues of collaboration in security and foreign affairs and they hold a unique position as dialogue platforms between global locations and Switzerland.
• Our Hubs help facilitate the engagement of GCSP alumni in building strength for future cooperation with the GCSP and in enhancing further course participation among GCSP activities.
