Applications are now open for the tenth annual Geneva Cyber 9/12 Strategy Challenge, hosted by the Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP) in partnership with the Atlantic Council. The competition will take place virtually on 04-05 April 2024. Application deadline for teams is on 07 March 2024 at 23:00 CET (Geneva Time)
Each team must include four students. Teams which register fewer than four competitors may be considered at the discretion of the Competition Director. There are no requirements for team composition based on the academic majors or education level of team members. Each team must also recruit a faculty member to act as their coach. While coaches are not permitted to take part directly in the competition rounds, their participation is necessary to ensure that all teams have access to assistance in crafting their responses.
Application process
- STEP 1: Each team member (including coach) must fill in the application form as competitor or as coach
- STEP 2: One member of each team must submit their answers to the three questions outlined below in a Team Joint Document, in PDF, by email at [email protected] before 07 March 2024 at 23:00 CET (Geneva Time)
In the event of the competition being oversubscribed, responses to these questions will help competition staff determine which teams will compete.
Each answer should be 200 words or less:
- Why is cyber security such an important facet of modern global security?
- What is for you and your team the single most pressing cyber security challenge we face today, and what can be done to address it?
- Why did you compose your team the way you did, and what do you expect will differentiate your team from others?
