For you, this course provides an outline of the technical, policy and legal aspects of cyber security, but offers much more than that. It provides an understanding of the wider social, criminal justice and strategic implications of cyber security beyond purely technical or legal questions and shows how all these facets interrelate. In so doing the course helps participants develop holistic policy solutions addressing both the technical and socio-political challenges of cyber security. |
Many of you will already possess a technical background. Therefore, the course provides an understanding of the legal and political regulatory frameworks in which the private sector must operate. Technical and technological innovation does not occur in a vacuum. The course can help participants navigate the complete socio-legal and socio-political challenges of the regulatory space by providing an understanding of that space. |
