Dr Ivan Ureta is the Director of Executive Education at the Geneva Center for Security Policy (GCSP) and serves as the President of the Swiss Business Ethics Network. He also collaborates with several prestigious business schools in Switzerland, Spain, and India. His areas of expertise include international political economy, geo-economics, ethics, and responsible leadership, which he seamlessly integrates into his research, teaching, and executive training programs.
Previously, Dr. Ureta led Executive Education at SUPSI and has held academic and research positions at renowned institutions, such as IE Business School, King’s College London, the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge, the University of Exeter, the University of Leeds, Sultan Qaboos University in Oman, the Diplomatic Academy of Malta, and the University of San Marcos and Piura in Peru.As a practitioner, Dr. Ureta has contributed to numerous international projects, working with organizations like the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the Norwegian Institute of Foreign Affairs, the Spanish and Peruvian Agencies for Cooperation and Development, the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, and the US Department of State.
Dr Ureta holds a PhD in Economic History from the University of Deusto, a PhD in International Relations from King’s College London, and a Diploma in Global Business from Harvard Business School. A native Spanish speaker, he is fluent in English and Italian.
