Shaping Cooperative Security: NATO and Southern Partners Before the Hague Summit 2025
The event is sponsored by NATO
Join us for a high-level keynote on NATO’s evolving engagement with its Southern Neighbourhood, ahead of the 2025 Summit in The Hague. As global security challenges become increasingly interconnected, NATO is reinforcing its 360-degree approach, placing renewed strategic focus on regions stretching from North Africa to the Middle East and the Sahel.
Our keynote speaker, Javier Colomina, NATO’s first-ever Special Representative for the Southern Neighbourhood, will provide his insights into the Alliance’s priorities and efforts in strengthening political dialogue and practical cooperation with partners across the region. He will also outline the main pillars of the NATO’s Southern Neighbourhood Action Plan (SNAP), a landmark initiative endorsed by Allied leaders at the 2024 Washington Summit to ensure a more strategic and results-driven approach.
This address will be an important opportunity to better understand NATO’s inclusive partnerships in tackling security challenges and its renewed effort to listen to, engage with, and support its southern partners.
Mark your calendars and join us at the GCSP on the 22nd of May from 12:30–14:00.
