Join us in celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the New Issues in Security Course (NISC)! This milestone event will spotlight human security, a vital yet often overlooked aspect of global security discussions. Don't miss this opportunity to engage in crucial conversations shaping the future of security.

Recent geopolitical developments have predominantly shifted global attention toward traditional hard security issues such as military capabilities, defence strategies and territorial integrity. Consequently, political momentum for addressing human security challenges has significantly waned.

In this context, neglecting human security risks undermining sustainable peace and stability. Neglecting human security, protecting individuals from fear, want, ad other vulterabilities, undermines sustainable peace and stability. Issues such as poverty, health crises, climate-related vulnerabilities, migration and cyber threats remain as pertinent and urgent as ever.

The 25th anniversary event aims to engage the global community of NISC Alumni to revitalise the dialogue on human security, emphasising its critical role alongside traditional security measures to comprehensively protect and empower individuals and communities worldwide.
