GCSP Director, Ambassador Thomas Greminger was recently welcomed by Francesco Pisano, Director of the UN Library, to record a podcast at the United Nations Library & Archives Geneva.
Francesco Pisano and Thomas Greminger met in the studio to talk about what cooperative security means and where it can be beneficially applied. As a security expert, the current Director of the Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP) and former Secretary-General of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), Greminger argues that collaboration is the best-proven way to fight our current security challenges and prepare against future security risks.
This episode is Episode 58 of the UN Library’s #NextPagePod podcast. It addresses the paradoxical reality that while we face a growing number of systemic security challenges that can only be solved collaboratively, such as climate change and the COVID-19 pandemic, there is also an increasing amount of unilateral policies and political will globally.
