The Geopolitics and Global Futures Symposium adopts a holistic approach to global security, integrating space security, neuroscience, political theory, and transformative technologies. By examining these interconnected challenges together, the symposium aims to provide a deeper understanding of their complexities, anticipate emerging threats, and formulate more effective responses.
The symposium consists of three modules:
- The Future of Outer Space Security (February)
- Neurophilosophy of Global Security (June)
- Transformative Technologies and Security (October)
Participants can choose to follow the modules individually or as a complete series.
Designed to delve into the multifaceted complexities of global security, the online Geopolitics and Global Futures Symposium recognizes the necessity of a holistic approach to understanding, preparing for, and mitigating present and emerging challenges across the spectrum of security issues.
Through a rigorous examination of these interrelated aspects, participants will gain a more nuanced understanding of the intricate threat environment and the multifaceted solutions shaping the global landscape.

The symposium, structured into three intensive 2-day modules, delves into critical themes shaping global security. You will:

You will receive a GCSP certificate once you have completed all the course modules to the satisfaction of the course director.
The symposium is designed for a diverse audience, including senior officials from governments and international organisations; policymakers from the security and defence sectors; members of intelligence communities; and representatives from the private sector, non-governmental organisations, and media. It is also open to any professional seeking a deeper understanding of emerging international security challenges.
