Innovation plays a major role for national security. Notably renewed great power rivalry, the Russo-Ukrainian War, and new threats to European and Swiss security show the necessity of innovation for national security purposes.  

Accordingly, there is a need to better understand, drive, and use defence innovation in Switzerland and among its international partners. To respond to this need, the Swiss Armed Forces and the GCSP in collaboration with Stanford University launch a project that creates new knowledge, connects leading practitioners and experts to share insights and best practices, as well as fosters international collaboration on defence innovation.
